First will be management managing current and new areas as we expand. The first promoted to management will be offered to join corporate when the time comes, as we grow. We work solely on a Percentage-Based (Commission-Based) Pay Model.
We support the Independent Labor Alliance (facebook | twitter) and are fighting to keep IRS standards over the PRO Act. If you disagree with our stance, don't apply.
Details And Terms
If you'd like to join the Red's Delivery Services Personal Concierge team, you must:
- Understand you will be an Independent Contractor and must be able to work with a business mindset
- Be 21yrs old or older
- Have a valid driver's license
- Have a reliable vehicle
- Have active auto insurance with a rideshare/delivery driver addendum (recommended)
- Clean driving record
- Vehicle with no serious dents, dings, missing body parts
- Have a working cell phone
- Submit to a background check
- Be self-motivated
- Have a payment app or bank account (to get paid). If you need a payment app or bank account, see below for payment apps we work with and banks we use and trust.
- May start out on an on-call part-time basis.
- On-call means you will be notified of an available order, either pre-scheduled or on-demand. You do not need to accept if you're not available; simply reply saying you're not available and it will be sent to the next Personal Concierge. On-demand orders will need a response within 5 minutes of of you receiving the notification/text of available order. Pre-scheduled orders will need a response no later than one hour before the orders scheduled time.
Shopping and delivering groceries and restaurant orders and performing Tasks/Errands, you will receive part of the fee Red's Delivery Services charges on a weekly basis. You may be given a company card that will be preloaded to make the purchases. Do NOT lose this card. Lost card replacement fee will come out of your pay. It's recommended you have rideshare/delivery addendum added to your auto insurance policy. Company policies only cover certain conditions, any accidents outside those conditions fall on your insurance company. To avoid cancellation should an accident occur, it's wise to invest the additional $15-30 in the rideshare/delivery addendum; Red's Delivery Services, and the companies we're partnered with, will not be held liable in the event your insurance drops your policy due to your lack of proper coverage added to your policy. In the event your company doesn't offer the extra coverage, we recommend using StateFarm. If your application is approved to join our Personal Concierge team, you will be listed as an approved Personal Concierge on this site. Your information will appear as:
- First Name Last Initial
- Vehicle Info (make, model, plate)
As an Independent Contractor, you have the right to accept or decline any work offered. If you're looking to do this full-time, be sure to check off the box in the application. Those seeking to go full-time availability will receive preference on pickups from partnered businesses contracting delivery services from us. To keep busy or to breakup the monotony, you may also apply to be Sales Associate to help out with our vendor events.
Payment:
Pay will be weekly. Pay will be sent via direct deposit to the payment account you give in your application. Until your area is large enough management staff is required, your pay will be 80% of fees plus tips. Once we are required to hire/promote management staff for your area, your pay will be as follows below. An email will be sent out prior to pay change. Pay change would be required due to our pay model being strictly percentage based from the bottom up. Once management is required for your area (promotions from within), your pay will be:
- You keep 40% of all Red's Delivery Services fees per shop/delivery/task you complete plus any tips.
- To put it in perspective, just one average grocery order or two restaurant orders (or one plus tip) per hour will be above the equivalent of minimum wage hourly pay.
-
- At current fees, just 2 'delivery-only' restaurant orders per hour without tip is $24/hr. If customers tip, it'd be $24 + tip/hr. More deliveries in an hour equals higher pay for the hour.
- Tips left "in app" on orders that have a Delivery Driver pickup from a Shopper to deliver will work as follows:
- Shopper and Delivery Driver agree on their own how tips will work (ex: Shopper keeps in-app Driver keeps any cash tips, a split, etc) and both parties notify Red of agreement; OR
- Any in-app tip(s) will be split 50/50 between Shopper and Driver. Any cash tips is between the Delivery Driver and Shopper to discuss.
- Unless otherwise agreed between Shopper and Delivery Driver, any cash tips may be kept entirely by Delivery Driver.
- Some services would average higher pay per hour equivalent
- For as long as we keep ride services open, you will receive ride requests and you will be paid 60% of ride fare plus tips.
- You also receive 80-100% of any additional fees that may be charged to customers, depending on the fee.
- Due to timing of our payment processor, each weeks pay will include the previous Saturday-Friday orders you completed. Depending on the speed of your bank/account you choose to get paid to, your pay will arrive between Wednesday-Friday following each week you work.
- After your first weekly deposit you will have the option to opt-in to daily pay outs to Cash App. Daily pay will cash out at the end of the day you work.
- Payments will either show the business name as "William Conrad dba Red's Delivery Services" or "Red's Delivery Services". At the end of the year, when you receive your 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC, you must enter the business name as it's shown on the stubs and/or 1099-MISC / NEC, plus the EIN when you do your taxes.
Any orders completed through us for third-party contracts we have, you will be paid 75% of the payment paid to us plus tips. You will also be given an account with our payroll service provider, where you'll be able to:
- Update personal information (address, contact info, bank info, etc)
- Receive your 1099-MISC / NEC online each year
- Keep track of your pay
You will need to download the Team app from our service provider, and login with the PIN we assign you, to get the above benefits. Android | Apple Pay can be received to any service that offers bank account information. If you choose to be paid via PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, or other payment service, use the direct deposit information as your bank information to be paid. All in-app orders pay will be handled in app and either direct deposited or you can order a pay card to receive your pay for in-app orders. Orders not in our app will be tracked through our web system for payroll purposes.
Services:
You are expected to provide professional services to our clients. Always try to begin an order early enough you are able to get complete the order in time. Each client will pick a delivery time or window with their order. Do your best to make complete order on time or within the window. It is expected that customers who know you may go directly to you for services. It is important you inform them that they must continue ordering through our app or website, they can request you specifically to be their Personal Concierge. You must be a self-motivated go-getter. The more people hear about the service, the more work we can hand out. The more clients that prefer you, the more guaranteed work you will have.
- By spreading business awareness, you are more then welcome to ask that they make you their Preferred Personal Concierge. The more customers prefer you, the more work you are guaranteed to have. Send your referrals to RedConrad.com. Feel free to share hours and days you want to work and ask that clients that prefer you only place orders during those times.
- Personal Concierges with 15 or more customers who prefer them may receive access to the Red's Delivery Services Facebook page to communicate with your customers directly and to address any of their issues yourself.
You may be provided a company Credit Card to make all purchases. This card is preloaded with the customers money for the customers orders. Do NOT attempt to use this card for any personal purchases or any items not requested by the customer. There are certain items that are NOT yet covered, these items include, but are not limited to:
- Weapons (including ammunition, fireworks, and other related items)
- Gift cards, gift certificates, prepaid cards, prepaid phone cards, and related items
- Drug paraphernalia or any equipment designed for making or using drugs, including but not limited to bongs, vaporizers, and hookahs
If a customer requests any item that is currently not supported, inform them you can pick up everything else but those certain items you cannot as they are not supported on the platform we use. Until the Credit Card is issued, you will have the option to have customers funds plus your pay for the order sent directly to your Debit Card or Cash App card to fulfill customers order. This option will be available to you at the sole discretion of Red's Delivery & Concierge Services and funds will only be released to your personal account of choice upon verification you are at checkout and ready to pay for customers order. If you paid for customers order with your own funds, a receipt must be provided to receive reimbursement. Order verification to receive funds and receipt confirmation for reimbursements are to be sent to HR@RedConrad.com; funds or reimbursement will then be issued, usually within five (5) minutes of you sending the email. A Personal Concierge may be assigned to coordinate with those shopping orders to deliver the orders for those Personal Concierges backed up with orders. Those sent are to pick up order after the shop is completed to deliver the order so Shopper can shop next order. Personal Concierges may be assigned to one or more stores or restaurants (within 5 miles of each other), depending on how busy the store(s)/restaurant(s) is/are in demand of delivery services and/or upon request by the store/restaurant management.
Alcohol/Tobacco Sales:
You MUST verify their ID before pickup/delivery. To verify age before delivery:
- Ask customer for a selfie, headshot with no mask or hat on
- Ask customer for a picture of their photo ID taken in a well lit area, flash off to avoid glare
- Compare selfie to photo on ID, verify age/DOB
ID is to be verified again upon delivery, especially if person attempting to accept order is not the customer who ordered. Orders containing alcohol or tobacco are not to be handed to minors. If it's reported you are delivering alcohol or tobacco products to individuals under 21yrs old, you will be terminated. If the customer is under 21yrs, you CANNOT deliver any alcohol/tobacco products. As an independent contractor, you have the right to accept or deny alcohol/tobacco orders. If you accept these orders, these terms must be abided by. It is the your responsibility to verify ID of clients. All orders with alcohol and/or tobacco, you MUST verify ID. You may also be provided a PIN to access our POS to charge for on-demand rides and other on-demand services that come through via the website instead of the app.
Completing Services:
During busy times with back-to-back shopping orders you may contact another online Personal Concierge to pick up completed shops for delivery so you can move onto the next shop; you may also get assigned another Personal Concierge to deliver for you. If you contact another Personal Concierge for a pick up, notify your County Manager so a second driver isn't sent out. You will be sent info for orders, including customer contact and address, to complete a successful order. For shopped order pickups, coordinate a pickup location with the Personal Concierge you are picking up from. For general GPS use, Waze is recommended. It alerts to potential slow traffic, alternate routes, etc. For quick delivery to apartment complexes, consider using the Beans GPS app. Your stated availability will be posted on our website for clients who prefer your services. As you update your availability, it will be updated on this website. You will only be sent orders during your stated availability. Upon receiving an order, you will have two minutes to respond you're on your way. If no response of acceptance is received, it will be passed on to the next Personal Concierge. You will receive another message at the two minute mark informing you the order is about to be passed on, if you are on your way or about to leave to pick up/complete order you must respond stating as such. Should multiple Personal Concierges be sent for the same order at the same time two or more times due to lack of responding back of your acceptance of an order, your contract may be terminated. Additional services (Tasks/Errands) that we offer include:
- Return To Store
- Helping Move
- Packing/Unpacking
- Heavy Lifting
- Rental Property Management Assistance
- Property Check
- Property Assist
- Local Shipping
- Mail Services
- Propane Tank Services
- Basic Roadside Assistance
Details of what these services include may be viewed on Our Site. Instructions for completion of each Task type will be included same way as a shopping or pick up order. If you have any questions what your duties on a specific Task would be, email HR@RedConrad.com or Red@RedConrad.com or text 386-361-6415.
Orders will be completed as follows:
- You will receive a message/notification with order information (Order Pickup Location, Order #/Name, Customer Name and Customer Number, Dropoff Location) [Customers information is ONLY for purposes of completing orders. Do NOT store customer information]
- Within 2 minutes of receiving message you are to respond stating whether or not you are accepting the order
- Keep in touch with customer about any issues (order still being prepared, heavy traffic, etc);
- Complete order
Additional Services:
Occasionally a customer will order a Task. Tasks/Errands are additional ways you could earn. You will be paid the same way for Tasks as you are Shopping and Delivery orders, only main difference is some Tasks are charged by the hour. The pay you see when offered a Task/Errand will be the minimum payout you will receive for that Task; if Task/Errand goes above minimum time charged to the customer, your pay will be higher then shown when offered. Tasks that require photos, you are to take photos of the areas the customer requests from outside the vehicle. Photos taken from inside the vehicle will not be accepted and will have to be resubmitted.
Equipment:
Any and all equipment needed to perform services are your responsibility, and are a tax deduction (keep track of all your deductions). Some equipment that will need to perform services includes:
- Insulated Bags
- Smartphone
- Phone charger for your vehicle
- Hand truck (to move larger sized propane tanks)
- Exterior vehicle rack (for transport of larger propane tanks)
You are to have proper equipment to safely and professionally perform services. Certain services, such as Propane Tank Services, you will be required to provide verification you have proper equipment in order to receive these order types. Equipment may be purchased from a third-party or from Red's Delivery Services directly. You are responsible to keep track of any and all equipment purchases for your taxes (tax deductions/write-offs).
Responsibilities:
All on-demand services must be reported to Red's Delivery Services via call or text to 386-361-6415. Failure to do so may result in termination of your contract. To avoid issues, it's best to have customers order through our website or app. As a self-employed Independent Contractor, you agree you are responsible for all gas, insurances, and maintenance on your vehicle. There are programs and tools you can take advantage of for discounts and/or higher tax deductions. Any paid services, including benefit packages you purchase, are tax deductible; be sure to track them. Tools to consider using:
- Stride Tax app - tracks mileage and deductions; estimates how much you should put aside for taxes. Gas is included in the mileage rate for deductions. Turn app on when you leave for a pickup, turn off app after you return home. Mark each trip appropriately as Delivery. Stride also offers cheap insurance plans (health, vision, dental). App is free to use.
- Hurdlr - Has an app and web version; is a bit more robust then Stride Tax. If you're contracting full-time, this app is recommended. (Free and paid versions; paid versions are trackable as a tax deduction)
- QuickBooks Self-employed app - also tracks mileage, expenses, etc and forwards report to TurboTax for easy tax filing (monthly cost, tax deduction) (Hurdlr offers more for less).
- Steady App - offers financial/expenses tracking, insurance offers (auto, health, vision, dental, etc) as well as any other gig or side work and employment opportunities.
- GetUpside App - Save on gas with GetUpside. Either click the link to download or use my code after downloading the app direct from the app/play store: RED6738
- Catch Benefits - Offers tax withholding (automatically sets aside a percentage for taxes and can be set to automatically pay any due taxes each quarter), retirement, and health insurance for independent contractors. If contracting full-time, this free service is recommended.
- Sidecar Health - Offers affordable healthcare plans
I (Red) use the above tools myself. They do make life a lot easier, especially come tax time. The recommended combo if you're part-time is Stride Tax and Steady; if you're full-time (either with us and/or multiple gigs), Hurdlr is recommended instead of Stride. With those two apps alone, you can track all expenses, write-offs, income, mileage, and any benefits you choose to apply for.
All Personal Concierges are also responsible for helping market Red's Delivery Services to customers and businesses. As stated above, you are able to request customers ask for you as their Preferred Personal Concierge; likewise, businesses are able to request you as a designated Personal Concierge for their business/location. You're marketing of the services helps you get more work. You and your family will also recieve a 25% Discount on our service fee on all orders for merchants (businesses) you help onboard for the lifetime of your contract with us (discount will no longer be in effect upon contract termination); discount period subject to change or discontinue at any time. Be sure to have all referrals mention you referred them. You are also responsible to keep your availability up-to-date. We need a team we can rely on. Do not apply if you're not going to be available when you suggest you will be. You are responsible to pay any of your own staff, sub-contractors, or other personnel you employ and handout orders too. You are responsible for completion of any orders handed out to any of your own staff, personnel, or sub-contractors you employ.
Termination:
Upon such a time you or Red's Delivery Services terminates the work contract, after your final order you are to return your company credit card. Failure to return the card will cost you the $20+ replacement fee, and will be deducted out of your final pay. Any terms broken, or "moonlighting" our customers, is grounds for termination. All customer info you receive is only to be used for the order at that time. No customer information is to be used for "moonlighting" or otherwise illegal activities. As a self-employed independent contractor, you are free to work multiple gigs, and run your business how you see fit, but you are not to attempt to divert customers funds, whether charged in advance or at time of order, away from this business. With Red's Delivery Services, and each third-party fleet you may opt to join, you are a self-employed independent contractor. This is not an employment agreement. You are responsible for your own insurances, taxes, etc. We will offer our help and advice in what tools to use to help you; but it is ultimately your responsibility. This is not an offer of employment, and should not be considered as such. Should your application be approved, you are an independent contractor with Red's Delivery Services and any third-party fleets you may join. At any given time, any and all terms and/or a separate terms page may be updated/created. At such time, you will be notified via text and/or email. Continued use of our platform and working with us will constitute agreement to any and all updates to these terms and conditions, contractor agreement, termination/deactivation policy, and other policies. In the near future we may be partnering with another company or expanding this platform that will offer you additional ways of generating income, as things happen we will keep all team members up to date with the details.
Perks:
As the company grows, certain perks may be made available to team members. If/When perks are created and started, they will be explained (via email) what it is and how it works. To qualify for perks:

Growth: As the service grows and expands, team members may be given the option to join management to help oversee current and expanded markets and market areas. The faster we grow, the faster an opportunity will arise. Those who provide professional, quality service to all clients/customers at all times, help build the service and grow clientele, and help bring fresh ideas to the table will be considered. Those who put in full-time hours (40+hrs/wk) will be considered for promotion first. If you subcontract, as per the Contractor Agreement, and accept a promotion, it is you're responsibility to inform your subcontractors/employees that effective the date of your promotion they will need to apply as a contractor directly through RDS to keep receiving orders. Any subcontractors/employees you may have that do not apply through RDS by your effective promotion date will cease to be able to work. All subcontractors/employees you may have must enter our system upon your promotion effective date. All management positions are commission-based. As stated above, we strictly use a commission-based pay model.

Keeping track of finances: If you do gig work and/or business full-time, it is recommended you have a financial plan. I've put together a blog post detailing what I do. It's a bit complex, and you may be able to use a simplified version. But the post was written to give a general idea of how finances should be separated for personal, business, and emergency use.
