- Understand you will be an Independent Contractor and must be able to work with a business mindset

It's recommended you have rideshare/delivery addendum added to your auto insurance policy. Company policies only cover certain conditions, any accidents outside those conditions fall on your insurance company. To avoid cancellation should an accident occur, it's wise to invest the additional $15-30 in the rideshare/delivery addendum; Red's Delivery Services, and the companies we're partnered with, will not be held liable in the event your insurance drops your policy due to your lack of proper coverage added to your policy. In the event your company doesn't offer the extra coverage, we recommend using StateFarm.
If you're looking to do this full-time, be sure to check off the box in the application. Those seeking to go full-time availability will receive preference on vendor events.
To stay busy between events, you may also

As a self-employed Independent Contractor, you agree you are responsible for all gas, insurances, and maintenance on your vehicle. There are programs and tools you can take advantage of for discounts and/or higher tax deductions. Any paid services, including benefit packages you purchase, are tax deductible; be sure to track them. Tools to consider using:
- Stride Tax app - tracks mileage and deductions; estimates how much you should put aside for taxes. Gas is included in the mileage rate for deductions. Turn app on when you leave for a pickup, turn off app after you return home. Mark each trip appropriately as Delivery. Stride also offers cheap insurance plans (health, vision, dental). App is free to use.
- Hurdlr - Has an app and web version; is a bit more robust then Stride Tax. If you're contracting full-time, this app is recommended. (Free and paid versions; paid versions are trackable as a tax deduction)
- QuickBooks Self-employed app - also tracks mileage, expenses, etc and forwards report to TurboTax for easy tax filing (monthly cost, tax deduction) (Hurdlr offers more for less).
- Steady App - offers financial/expenses tracking, insurance offers (auto, health, vision, dental, etc) as well as any other gig or side work and employment opportunities.
- GetUpside App - Save on gas with GetUpside. Either click the link to download or use my code after downloading the app direct from the app/play store: RED6738
- Catch Benefits - Offers tax withholding (automatically sets aside a percentage for taxes and can be set to automatically pay any due taxes each quarter), retirement, and health insurance for independent contractors. If contracting full-time, this free service is recommended.
- Sidecar Health - Offers affordable healthcare plans
I (Red) use the above tools myself. They do make life a lot easier, especially come tax time. The recommended combo if you're part-time is Stride Tax and Steady; if you're full-time (either with us and/or multiple gigs), Hurdlr is recommended instead of Stride. With those two apps alone, you can track all expenses, write-offs, income, mileage, and any benefits you choose to apply for.
All Sales Associates are also responsible for helping market Red's Delivery Services to customers and businesses. You're marketing of the services helps you get more work at more events as well as helps our Personal Concierges get more work with our primary services. You and your family will also recieve a 25% Discount on our service fee on all orders for merchants (businesses) you help onboard for the lifetime of your contract with us (discount will no longer be in effect upon contract termination); discount period subject to change or discontinue at any time. Be sure to have all referrals mention you referred them.
You are also responsible to keep your availability up-to-date. We need a team we can rely on. Do not apply if you're not going to be available when you suggest you will be.
You are responsible to pay any of your own staff, sub-contractors, or other personnel you employ and handout orders too. You are responsible for completion of any orders handed out to any of your own staff, personnel, or sub-contractors you employ.
Termination:
Any terms broken, or "moonlighting" our customers, is grounds for termination. All customer info you receive is only to be used for the order at that time. No customer information is to be used for "moonlighting" or otherwise illegal activities. As a self-employed independent contractor, you are free to work multiple gigs, and run your business how you see fit, but you are not to attempt to divert customers funds, whether charged in advance or at time of order, away from this business.
With Red's Delivery Services, and each third-party company you may opt to join, you are a self-employed independent contractor. This is not an employment agreement. You are responsible for your own insurances, taxes, etc. We will offer our help and advice in what tools to use to help you; but it is ultimately your responsibility. This is not an offer of employment, and should not be considered as such. Should your application be approved, you are an independent contractor with Red's Delivery Services.
At any given time, any and all terms and/or a separate terms page may be updated/created. At such time, you will be notified via text and/or email. Continued use of our platform and working with us will constitute agreement to any and all updates to these terms and conditions, contractor agreement, termination/deactivation policy, and other policies.
In the near future we may be partnering with another company or expanding this platform that will offer you additional ways of generating income, as things happen we will keep all team members up to date with the details.

As the company grows, certain perks may be made available to team members. If/When perks are created and started, they will be explained (via email) what it is and how it works. To qualify for perks:

For clarification purposes, RDS is a team of independent contractors working together to fulfill customers orders.
Growth:
As the service grows and expands, team members may be given the option to join management to help oversee current and expanded markets and market areas. The faster we grow, the faster an opportunity will arise. Those who provide professional, quality service to all clients/customers at all times, help build the service and grow clientele, and help bring fresh ideas to the table will be considered.
Those who put in full-time hours (40+hrs/wk) will be considered for promotion first. If you subcontract, as per the Contractor Agreement, and accept a promotion, it is you're responsibility to inform your subcontractors/employees that effective the date of your promotion they will need to apply as a contractor directly through RDS to keep receiving orders. Any subcontractors/employees you may have that do not apply through RDS by your effective promotion date will cease to be able to work. All subcontractors/employees you may have must enter our system upon your promotion effective date.

Keeping track of finances:
If you do gig work and/or business full-time, it is recommended you have a financial plan. I've put together a blog post detailing what I do. It's a bit complex, and you may be able to use a simplified version. But the post was written to give a general idea of how finances should be separated for personal, business, and emergency use. You can view it by clicking here.
